Good weekend.
On Saturday, we ended up in Tahoe, but by the time we finished eating lunch and doing the usual wanderings, the lift at Sierra-at-Tahoe was closed. But I played in the snow and bugged Steven, and on our way home instead of taking 50 to 80, we went off to Auburn on the 49 and then down to the 80 and home.
On Sunday, I ended up with not one, not two, but THREE Easter baskets! One from Steven, one from Mom, and one from Amy and Kris. Yay! Dinner in San Fran was good. They are good cooks… 😀 Steven and I dyed eggs and numbered them 1-18. And hid them in the apartment during the party. I was amazed by how easy it was to hide them… no one noticed until Sasha went to the bathroom and shouted “there’s an egg in here!” but even then they didn’t take her seriously. By the time they figured out that we had hidden eggs, dinner was over and we were killing time while we digested enough for dessert — everyone was stuffed! There was a great Easter Egg hunt, during which Steven and I were told “we’ll never invite you again” and “this brings back such strange memories from childhood” and “this is evil, but not Really Evil. I would have said nothing until they started complaining about the stink” … so on average I think it was a hit. We also named each egg, so Amy has her Small Livestock lovers with her now. 😀
In about an hour I have my craft class. Introduction to Precious Metalsmithing. Supposedly we learn rings and gem settings and various techniques. It should be fun.
…somewhat tired, excited… it’s midterm season.
