How to Make My Favorite Sandwich

Materials:
Sandwich fixins (see below)
Panini press, George Foreman grill, or similar.
Microwave
Whatever implements you wish to use to protect yer hands and kitchen from the heat and mess

Prep:
Heat up the grill – use the medium or high setting if you have the panini heat option.
Slice your ingredients.

Building the Sandwich (layer by layer):
Pick your favorites from each category I’ve listed…
Bread layer #1 (whole wheat roll, dutch crunch, etc.)
Spread layer #1 (basil aioli, pesto, guacamole, etc.)
Fresh-ground black pepper layer #1
Avocado (optional)
Cheese layer #1 (Cheddar, Muenster, Havarti, Fontina, etc.)
Oil & vinegar (optional)
Veggies (spinach, sprouts, cucumber, tomato, mushrooms, etc.)
Meat/Equivalent (chicken, pepper turkey, pastrami, portabello mushroom, roast beef, etc.)
Cheese layer #2
Fresh-ground black pepper layer #2
Spread layer #2
Bread layer #2

Obviously you’ll have to decide how you prefer to build it, each deli deity has a favorite method.

Heating & Grilling
Nuke it in the microwave for 45-60 seconds on the regular/high setting.
Grill it 15 seconds, spin it 90 degrees and grill another 15 seconds (so you get that nice cross-hatched look)

Eating:
Keep it away from ravenous lookers-on and follow it with a mint.
